We would like to wish you a Happy New Year and we hope you had a lovely Christmas holiday.Many thanks too for your kind wishes and gifts over Christmas time.

A warm welcome to all the boys and girls who joined us after the Christmas holidays. It has been lovely getting to know you and we hope that both parents and children feel at home here at Pink Panther.

We have a special photo wall in playgroup where we display photos of the children and their families. If your child has just started at Pink Panther could you send a family photo to add to our wall.

Money, money, money

Many thanks for your contributions to the Christmas raffle and well done to the lucky winners! From ticket sales for the raffle we raised £53 for playgroup. We also raised £102.75 in commission from the photographer who visited us in November.

News

Just before the Christmas holidays Pink Panther received a Care Commission Inspection. We were inspected on various aspects of our service and graded from 1-6.Grade one being unsatisfactory and grade 6 being excellent-sector leader.In all areas of our inspection we were awarded grade fives.We were delighted with the report which will be available for all parents to see. It will be on the notice board in the playroom when we receive the final copy and it will also be available on the Care Commission website.

Appropriate Clothing

Please ensure that your child has appropriate clothing at playgroup for both indoor and outdoor play. With the current weather it is probably best to send a pair of indoor shoes which your child can change into before the session begins.Please ensure that all items of clothing are labelled.

Curriculum

Over the next few weeks the children will be exploring patterns and will be creating their own patterns. We are hoping to create a selection of socks to help with this! We need spotty, stripy, large, small and colourful socks-all sorts really!

Room on the Broom

Based on the well known children`s story, Eden Court are hosting a theatre performance of Room on the Broom in February. Tickets cost £8 per child. Pink Panther will subsidise this so that the cost will be £5. We have enquired about ticket availability but need to know exactly how many children will be attending. Tickets are being booked quickly for this so please complete the slip below and return as soon as possible. We will have a sign up list for any parents who would like to help.
