Basic Function
Welcome
The committee would like to extend a very warm welcome to all the new boys and girls and their parents/carers who have started playgroup this term. We hope that the children have enjoyed their first term at playgroup and made lots of new friends.
Thanks Everyone
Thank you to all the parents who have participated in a play session. We have had lots of really positive feedback with everyone saying how much they have enjoyed seeing what the children get up to and how well behaved the children are when they are at playgroup!
Please feel free to stay and play at any time – not only will you enjoy it but the boys and girls love having visitors to Pink Panthers. Just speak to one of the play workers in advance.
Illness
As it is that rotten time of year when all sorts of bugs are about we would like to remind parents of the playgroups illness guidelines.
Sickness/diarrhoea -– 48 hrs from last attack.
Chicken Pox -– 10 days from onset of rash.
Measles/Rubella -– 4 days from onset of rash.
Mumps -– until swelling subsides but not less than 7 days from onset of symptoms.
Just a Reminder
All playgroup policies are available for parents on request. We are continually reviewing and updating our policies and welcome your input.
School Holidays
Playgroup will close on Friday 18th December
and will re-open on Monday 11th January.
Christmas
Santa will be taking time out of his busy schedule to visit the children at their Christmas parties on the last day of term. Party times are: Friday 18th Dec -- 10-11.30 am & 12.30 - 2pm
In order to raise funds for the playgroup we shall be raffling a luxury hamper and we would appreciate it if everyone could provide a suitable item for inclusion. Raffle tickets will cost £1 and the draw will take place on the last day of term. Please hand luxury items to the play workers by Wednesday 16th December. Tickets will be available to buy at the playgroup.
Helpers Needed
We are looking for volunteers to wrap up Christmas presents for the children.
Please speak to a play worker if you can help.
Playgroup Activities
It has been a busy few months at playgroup. Everyone enjoyed the Halloween party and the children have been busy making lots of colourful firework and bonfire pictures. Remember to look at the notice boards both outside and on your way in to the playroom – photos are updated regularly and each week, learning objectives are posted there so you can see at all times what the children are doing.
Garden Update
We have got the proposed extension to the playgroup garden all agreed now by the clerk of works. We are just waiting for the landscape gardener/fencer to come and get started. If you have any ideas for our new improved garden – please feel free to speak to one of the play workers.
Parent Questionnaire
At Pink Panthers we really value your feedback. We would like to ask parents if they would fill in the enclosed questionnaire. When completed it should be posted in the suggestion box on the way into playgroup.
